JOB TITLE: Technical Recruiter (Physical AI & Robotics)
JOB SUMMARY
Our client is a high-growth, Series B-stage physical AI company revolutionizing factory automation. With over 1,000 mission-critical systems deployed across 190+ manufacturers—inspecting $15B worth of products annually—they are now expanding their reach into the complex world of assembly robotics and deformable manipulation.
We are seeking a high-performing Technical Recruiter to join their team in Milpitas, CA. This is a critical executor-level role reporting directly to the Head of People. You will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of technical hiring, working closely with engineering leadership to source, screen, and close top-tier talent in fields like robotics, ML, and perception. This is an in-person, hands-on position for a recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute full-cycle recruiting for technical roles including Robotics, ML, Embodied AI, Perception, and Simulation Engineering.
- Develop and execute custom outbound sourcing strategies to engage passive candidates in competitive deep-tech markets.
- Partner with hiring managers to calibrate interview rubrics, facilitate structured debriefs, and ensure a high quality-of-hire bar.
- Manage candidate pipelines within Ashby, ensuring flawless coordination, timely communication, and structured evaluation processes.
- Collaborate with the Head of People and Finance to design competitive offer packages and successfully close high-level candidates.
- Provide support for Go-To-Market (GTM) hiring (Sales, Customer Success, Solutions) as the company scales.
- Operate as a reliable individual contributor, learning and evolving within a small, high-impact talent team.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2–5 years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience in a tech or startup environment.
- Demonstrated success in personally sourcing and closing engineering candidates in competitive markets.
- Proficiency with Ashby or comparable modern Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Experience managing structured interview processes and guiding hiring managers through assessment tradeoffs.
- Ability to thrive in an early-stage company with shifting priorities; stable tenure in previous roles is required.
- Nice-to-Have: Experience recruiting for robotics, hardware, or deep-tech; technical fluency; previous experience in a Series A/B startup scaling past 100 employees.
- Must be able to work on-site in Milpitas, CA.
