Local Class A CDL Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking Local Class A CDL drivers with a minimum of 3 months of tractor-trailer experience for a mid-shift local operation based in Louisville, KY. This position offers daily home time and allows drivers to work in a slip-seat operation, where they are assigned a timeslot rather than a specific route.

Responsibilities:

- Operate a tractor-trailer in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.

- Work assigned mid-shift hours from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, driving a manual transmission vehicle.

- Handle both drop-and-hook and live unload freight based on the specific lane requirements.

- Report to the terminal daily for assigned timeslot, ensuring timely departure and delivery.

- Work a minimum of 8 hours guaranteed daily, with the possibility of working up to 14 hours, and receive overtime pay after 50 hours worked.

- Comply with all safety procedures and maintain the cleanliness and operational functionality of the equipment.

Requirements:

- Must possess a valid Class A CDL.

- Minimum of 3 months of tractor-trailer driving experience.

- Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Louisville, KY.

- Proficient in operating a manual transmission vehicle.

- Availability to work Saturdays is required.

Benefits:

- Competitive hourly pay rate of $30.00 per hour.
