Class A CDL Local Driver

We are hiring Class A CDL Drivers for a full‑time local dedicated position operating within a 250‑mile radius of York, PA. This role offers steady earnings, predictable Tuesday–Saturday scheduling, and home‑daily routes delivering dry and frozen groceries to Ahold/Giant stores. Freight is 100% palletized, trailers are pre‑loaded, and all stores have docks. Drivers typically run 2 shorter loads per day or one long load, with 2 stops per trailer and 90% drop‑and‑hook on backhauls. Start time is 4:00 PM with 11–12 hour shifts.

This position provides consistent freight, a mix of reefer and dry van work, and strong annual earnings with CPM pay plus a daily salary and detention. Drivers may occasionally tailgate palletized freight using electric pallet jacks. Assigned daycabs remain on site, uniforms are provided, and customer service skills are essential. Drivers work holidays if scheduled, except Thanksgiving and Christmas, which have no loads.

Extra Pay:

• Detention averages $150/week
• $20/hr safety training
• $25 rail shuttle
• Holiday pay: $200

Schedule:

• Tuesday–Saturday
• Start: 4:00 PM
• 11–12 hour shifts
• Optional 6th day

Requirements:

• Class A CDL
• 3+ months experience
• Occasional pallet‑jack tailgating
• Uniforms required

Equipment:

• Automatic daycabs (assigned; occasional sharing)
• 48’–53’ dry vans & reefers
• No take‑home trucks
