We are hiring experienced Class A CDL Drivers for a full‑time local/regional opportunity operating within a 250‑mile radius of Chester, NY. This position offers strong annual earnings, consistent freight, multistop routes, and steady year‑round work with both local and regional activity.

Position Highlights

- Mileage pay: $0.68–$0.74 CPM (based on tenure)

- Full‑time position with steady freight

- Local operating radius: 250 miles from Chester, NY
Route Information
- Operating throughout:
- NY Hudson Valley, the 5 boroughs, Long Island (after required training), NJ, CT, and PA
- Delivering fresh and frozen groceries on 48’, 51’, and 53’ reefer trailers
- Multistop routes — typically 15+ stops per week
- Drivers normally complete 2 loads per day or one long load
- Backhauls included within the same operating area
- Only 20–25% of freight goes into NYC, and drivers do not run NYC until completing required training and 6+ months on the account
Schedule
- Start times: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
- Workdays: Sunday–Thursday
- 5‑day workweek with optional 6th day
- 6th day becomes mandatory around major holidays (Christmas, New Year, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4th)
Compensation
- Mileage pay: $0.68–$0.74 CPM
- Yearly average based on seniority: $83,600–$87,600
- Stop pay: $62.50 per stop
- Average stops per week: ~16
- Paid holidays: 6
- Slip‑seat operation (day cabs)
- Uniforms provided and maintained
Driver Responsibilities
- Deliver refrigerated freight safely and on time
- Complete multistop grocery deliveries
- Pick up return product or backhauls as assigned
- Assist with pallet jack usage when supporting nearby accounts
- Maintain accurate paperwork and delivery records
- Provide professional service at delivery locations
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months tractor‑trailer experience
- Ability to operate in both day and night conditions
- Must have personal, reliable transportation to and from work
- Willingness to support nearby accounts as needed
- Must work scheduled holidays unless the account is not operating
Equipment
- Automatic and manual day cabs
- Reefer trailers: 48’, 51’, 53’
- Trucks remain at the terminal (not taken home)
- Slip‑seat rotation with efforts to keep drivers in familiar equipment
Additional Details
- Mostly no‑touch freight
- Drivers may assist with pallet jack unloading when supporting other accounts
- Expect to help nearby accounts 2–3 days per week
- Strong operational support and consistent work volume
- Newer equipment — average truck age ~3 years
- Strong local partnerships and stable freight flow
Sign‑On Bonus – $5,000
Bonus Terms:
- First payment after first dispatch
- Not eligible if employed within the past 60 days
- Must not have received a sign‑on bonus within the last 12 months
- Must remain in the same position to receive full payout
- Bonus pauses during leave and resumes upon return
