Dedicated Class A CDL Driver – Semi-Local Routes
We are hiring experienced Class A CDL Drivers for a dedicated, full-time semi-local opportunity. This position offers strong weekly earnings, high mileage, and consistent no-touch freight with a mix of local and regional runs.
This role is ideal for drivers looking for strong CPM pay, flexible schedule options, and steady freight with limited time away from home.
Position Highlights:
- $7,500 sign-on bonus
- Average annual earnings of $84,000 to $90,000
- Mileage pay ranging from $0.63 to $0.745 CPM
- Average of approximately 2,600 miles per week
- Full-time position with consistent freight
- Mix of local and regional routes
- No-touch freight
Route Information:
- Operating throughout Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Michigan
- Running transfers between distribution centers and store deliveries
- Delivering to approximately 40 Meijer store locations
- Primarily drop and hook freight (around 85%)
- Backhauls required
Schedule:
- Various schedules available
- Drivers typically stay out 1–2 nights per week
- Opportunity for consistent weekly schedule with optional overtime
Compensation:
- Regional loads (60%):
- $0.63–$0.66 CPM (based on tenure)
- $20 per stop
- Local loads (40%):
- $0.725–$0.745 CPM
- $30 per stop
- $100 weekly supplemental pay (attendance & availability required)
- $30 per backhaul
- $25/hour breakdown pay (after 2 hours)
- $20/hour safety pay
Sign-On Bonus:
- $7,500 total payout
- Paid in increments after dispatch milestones
- Must meet eligibility requirements and remain in position to receive full payout
Driver Responsibilities:
- Transport freight safely between DCs and store locations
- Complete drop and hook and occasional live loads
- Maintain on-time delivery schedules
- Handle backhaul pickups
- Operate safely and efficiently in regional environment
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum of 3 months driving experience
- Must obtain Hazmat endorsement within 90 days (reimbursed)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to run both local and regional routes
