Dedicated Class A CDL Driver – Semi-Local Routes
We are hiring experienced Class A CDL Drivers for a dedicated, full-time semi-local opportunity. This position offers strong weekly earnings, consistent freight, and a predictable schedule across the Northeast.
This role is ideal for drivers looking for steady runs, moderate miles, and reliable freight with minimal backing and consistent customers.
Position Highlights:
- Average annual earnings of $85,000
- Mileage pay of $0.53 CPM
- Average of approximately 1,300+ miles per week
- Full-time position with consistent routes
- Newer equipment (2 years or newer)
Route Information:
- Operating throughout New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and Rhode Island
- Delivering building materials including doors, mouldings, stair parts, and specialty products
- No NYC deliveries
- Average of 5 loads per week
- Approximately 17 stops per week
- Curtain-side trailers for easy side unloading
- Minimal close-quarters backing required
- Freight is preloaded or customer-loaded
Schedule:
- Sunday through Thursday
- Start times between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM
- Typical workdays are 12 to 14 hours
- Out 5 days with potential to be home 1–2 nights during the week (not guaranteed)
Compensation:
- Mileage-based pay at $0.53 CPM
- $35 per stop
- $20/hour for safety training
- Consistent miles and activity-based earnings
Driver Responsibilities:
- Operate curtain-side trailers safely and efficiently
- Unstrap and secure loads as needed
- Open and close curtain systems for deliveries
- Maintain accurate paperwork and delivery schedules
- Provide professional service to repeat customers
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum of 3 months driving experience
- Ability to secure loads using straps (no tarping required)
- Must wear steel-toe boots (reimbursement up to $100)
- Strong work ethic and attention to safety
Equipment:
- 53' curtain-side trailers
- Automatic sleeper trucks
- Assigned equipment (trucks remain at account)
