Dedicated Class A CDL Driver – Home Daily
We are hiring experienced Class A CDL Drivers for a dedicated, full-time local opportunity running out of the Chicago rail yards. This position offers steady miles, no-touch freight, and strong earning potential with excellent bonus opportunities.

Position Highlights:
- $5,000 sign-on bonus
- Average annual earnings of $75,000+
- Full-time position with consistent local routes
- Home daily
- 100% no-touch freight
Route Information:
- Operating throughout Illinois and Wisconsin
- Daily runs to and from Chicago rail yards
- Approximately 1,500 miles per week
- Primarily drop and hook freight (about 80%) with some live loads
- Consistent intermodal operations
Schedule:
- Various schedules available
- Evening and overnight shift options
- Flexible start times depending on availability
- Holiday time off may vary; holiday pay available after 90 days
Compensation:
- CPM starting at $0.48 with annual increases up to $0.55
- $65 for live loads
- $40 for drop and hook moves
- $25 additional for Hazmat loads
- $30 additional for refrigerated loads
- $15 for empty moves
- $23 to $55 for crosstown drops
- $20/hour rail delay pay (after 1 hour)
- $20 to $25/hour detention pay based on wait time
Training:
- Ramp-specific training for at least 5 days
- Paid at $250 per day
Additional Details:
- Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days (reimbursement available)
- Slip-seat operation
- Trucks remain at the yard during time off
- Opportunity to move into different shifts as they become available
- No smoking in trucks
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum of 3 months driving experience
- Must obtain Hazmat endorsement within 90 days
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
