Drivers typically run an average of 970 miles per week and complete 3 turns with 3 to 5 stops per load. This is a touch freight position where drivers unload dry freight using rollers, making it a great fit for those who want to stay active while driving.
The route covers Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Indiana, and Northern Kentucky. Drivers receive a weekly 34 hour reset at home, usually on Saturday and Sunday or Sunday and Monday depending on the schedule. Shifts run Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday based on driver location. Compensation includes mileage pay, unload pay, and backhaul pay. Equipment includes modern sleeper trucks with automatic transmissions pulling 53 foot dry van trailers. Drivers may take trucks home as long as the parking location is safe and secure.
